Description
Provides assistance in resolving issues between tenants and their landlords, especially in cases in which tenants require reasonable accommodations or modifications. Disputes that are not resolved at this level may be escalated to reporting to the PHRC or HUD, or even to filing cases in state or federal court.

Provides free legal counsel and representation on behalf of individuals who were denied housing based on their race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, or disability. Educates community members about illegal acts affecting themselves or others under the Fair Housing Act. The Fair Housing Law Center is a HUD funded project of Summit Legal Aid.
