Application process
The Cribs for Kids program is in all birthing hospitals in Allegheny County, PA. To access the in-hospital program: A) After delivery, you will be asked to watch a safe sleep educational video B) A nurse will then ask you to complete a form acknowledging that you received the education C) You will be asked if you have a safe place for your baby to sleep. In the rare case a nurse does not directly ask you, please ask them about the program If you do not have a safe place for your baby to sleep, a portable crib will be given to you before you leave the hospital.
Fees
Crib program is free to those who fit the income requirements and have a child under 1 year of age. For those who do fit the requirements, services are offered at discounted prices.
