Residents of York County Victims of domestic violence and abuse

Hours

The York County SPCA is open for public browsing Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. They are open to appointments daily, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Application process

Call for an appointment. Must be referred by the American Red Cross, Access York, Safe Home of Hanover, or another agency.

Fees

Services are available at no cost to York County residents with a referral from United Way or a York County SPCA partner agency

Description

Provides temporary emergency boarding for pets whose owners have fled or plan to leave a domestic violence situation, have been displaced by a natural disaster, or are experiencing homelessness. The SafePet program and services are free to pet owners with referrals from United Way or York County SPCA partner agencies. This program is only available for York County residents. The YCSPCA cannot accept pets into this program without a referral from a partner agency.
