The New Directions Halfway House in Cambria County is to assist adult men in preventing relapse, developing the skills and self-motivation they need to successfully adjust to a drug-free lifestyle and to maintain it after they leave the facility. The clients receive daily instruction and practice skills in the development of positive life goals and responsibilities.

A full continuum of care program that offers detoxification, residential rehabilitation services and outpatient services to men and women who are dealing with substance abuse and certain co-occurring disorders. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary teams of experienced professionals, including a medical doctor, psychiatrists, physician assistants, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, counselors, therapists, and other specialists. Rehab includes gender-specific programming; individual, group, and family therapy; experiential therapies; and thorough discharge planning.
