Description
WellSpan Health offers the Freedom From Smoking program developed by the American Lung Association.
The eight session program is designed to:
Help you quit smoking
Fight the addiction
Develop a smoke-free lifestyle
The program is offered free of charge. Wellspan Health offers free one-on-one tobacco treatment planning sessions to Adams and York county residents. At these counseling sessions, a certified tobacco cessation counselor will:
Assess your dependence on nicotine
Discuss any past attempts to quit
Review strategies and coping skills to get you through urges to smoke or chew
Develop a tailored "quit plan" specific to your lifestyle.
Wellspan Health also offers a self guided program for those who want to quit on their own.
WellSpan also provides referrals to the PA quitline at 1800-quitnow
