Eligibility

Military veterans regardless of discharge status and first responders with mild-to-moderate TBI and concussions. Injury/concussion cannot have occurred 6 months or less from time of application. Must not be actively using substances.

Description

Offers a community-based comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) medical outpatient program for military veterans and first responders that addresses the brain health issues associated with concussions and PTSD. Provides care for TBI and, if needed, transportation, housing, and meals with no out-of-pocket costs to patients or their families. Offers education regarding the effects of TBI to caregivers and family members.
