Eligibility

Pennsylvania residents who are: A) Age 65 and older B) Widows and widowers age 50 and older C) People with disabilities age 18 and older Income limit is $45,000/year for both homeowners and renters; half of Social Security income is excluded from income calculation for eligibility. Application process

Call the toll-free number for assistance over the phone with the Property Tax Rent Rebate program. Call the Intake number to schedule an appointment at the Pittsburgh Office. Visit the website to apply online or download/print an application. Individuals may also obtain a paper form from Revenue District Offices or their Pennsylvania General Assembly Representative or State Senator's offices.

Sponsors the property tax/rent rebate program for older adults and residents with disabilities. Will assist with the preparation of state personal income or property tax forms. The Property Tax/Rent Rebate is based on the property taxes paid directly or included in the rent paid during the previous calendar year, or the claim year.
