Engages, assesses, and combats homelessness for individuals living on the streets, in encampments, and other locations not intended for human habitation. Outreach staff work to build trust with those experiencing homelessness first by helping to meet some of their basic needs (including providing a mailing address to receive mail, food, clothing, showers, laundry, transportation, identification, etc.). The street reach coordinator collaborates with everyone to access housing, employment, medical care, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and other services while advocating for housing solutions for clients. Offers showers and laundry any day of the week from 9:00am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm to 5:00pm. There is a sign-up sheet out front and then admitted into the building into the lobby to wait for the shower time. Coffee and snacks, free clothing bins, winter coats, tents, sleeping bags, and mail pick-up are also being served while waiting.

Provides daily van transportation to and from designated locations including local shelters, the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center, and Camden, New Jersey. Provides case management for families (parent[s] with children) dealing with homelessness. Families live at host congregations for one week at a time and rotate around to different churches in the area that provide shelter, three free meals a day, and often provide evening activities and fellowship for the guests. Each day, families are transported to the Day Center by the FPHCR bus where families can do laundry, shower, and get ready for school or work. Parents who are not working stay at the Day Center and work on job and housing searches. Each family meets weekly with a staff member at FPHCR for case management.
