Early Intervention is an entitlement program for children from birth to 3 years, who have a developmental delay of 25% or more in one or more of the major areas of development (physical, sensory, cognitive, language/speech, social-emotional and self-care). At-risk children, including infants affected by premature birth, alcohol, drugs or lead poisoning and infants who have been abused or neglected are eligible for services. An entitlement program means that any eligible child, regardless of financial status, is entitled to receive services. Services include, among others, family training, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and assessment which are coordinated by Support Coordinators.

Provides services and supports designed to help families with children who have developmental delays or disabilities. Services can include: information about how children develop; parent or caregiver education; family supports; and developmental and instructional therapies. Early Intervention is individualized and provides supports to the child and family in the home or in the community.

A comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation program that provides diagnostic, evaluative treatments and referral services for children up to 18 years old who have developmental delays or difficulties, learning problems or have physical disabilities or injuries requiring rehabilitation. Good Shepherd also has contracts to serve as a provider of Early Intervention Services for both Lehigh and Northampton counties for children up to three years old.

Provides educational programming that is a blend of special education and behavioral health support. Provides families of children with developmental and/or behavioral disorders with information about how to access educational programs and family support services, sources of advocacy, and sources of information on state and federal regulations.

Provides primary healthcare services for children 0-18 including well visits, sick visits, and follow up. Includes vaccinations, hearing and vision screening, hospitalization, routine labs, and referrals to WIC

Provides initial mental-health screening and assessment, treatment and appropriate referrals for adolescents experiencing behavior and emotional disturbances, trauma and/or loss, developmental delay or learning problems, and difficulties adjusting to changes in family.

Provides well-child care, WIC check-ups, immunizations, developmental screening, vision screening, treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, and dental care.

Provides care for children under the age of 18 for things such as immunizations, general health promotion, physical exams, well-child checks, illnesses, screenings, and more.

Offers intake, planning, referral, ongoing monitoring, and assistance with transition planning.

Provides special education programs for students with disabilities from age 3 through age 5 who have developmental delays, physical disabilities, vision and/or hearing impairments, speech or language impairments, autism, or mental retardation. Services are offered at various locations throughout Lancaster and Lebanon counties. A full evaluation is required to determine eligibility for services.

Provides a range of services to children with Autism and to children who are having behavioral difficulties in Delaware County and parts of Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, including: A) Behavior Specialist Consultants B) Case Management C) Mobile Therapists D) Psychological Evaluations

The Autism Diagnostic Clinic uses a telehealth model to serve residents of Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Pike counties. The clinic operates using a telehealth model so that the child is evaluated in their home in familiar surroundings, families do not have to travel for services, and geographic barriers are eliminated. A psychologist and/or developmental nurse practitioner administers the evaluation via teleconference while guiding the parent through activities with the child. Bilingual clinicians are available. Families receive a same-day diagnosis and the service is provided at no cost to families thanks to funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Various children's health services are provided at each health center.

Provides care for children under the age of 18 for things such as immunizations, general health promotion, physical exams, well-child checks, illnesses, screenings, and more.

Provides early intervention services in the community for children under the age of 3. Services include speech therapy, occupational therapy, special instruction, and physical therapy. All services are one-to-one with the child. Service locations can include child's home, preschool, or other child care locations.

Provides an array of home and site-based services for young children, who show delays in their physical, emotional, cognitive, or social development. A multidisciplinary evaluation identifies the child's need for services that may include special instruction; physical, occupational or speech therapy; behavior therapy; and nursing and nutrition consultations.

Provides funding and administrative oversight for services in the community that support people and their families living with serious and persistent mental illness, children and adolescents with a mental health diagnosis, individuals with intellectual disability, individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and children birth to age three (3) for early intervention services. Through an intake process, a person’s eligibility for services and funding is determined and referrals are made to appropriate programs that correspond to service needs.

Provides an adult day program. Participants develop living skills such as housekeeping, shopping, and cooking. Participants also develop intellectual skills, including basic academics and pre-vocational skills. Self-reliance and integration in the surrounding community are other important elements of the program.

Program for children birth to 3-years-old who have been identified with special needs and meet the eligibility requirements. These services can include: home-based instruction, physical, occupational and speech therapies, case management services, and tracking/monitoring a child's development.

Offers comprehensive, diagnostic services for families. Assessments consist of observations in the clinic, home, school and daycare settings.

Provides assessment and evaluation services for children, adolescents, and adults. The evaluations seek to help individuals and families better understand their mental health challenges from a culturally-informed perspective. Services include diagnosis, recommendations for treatment, and referrals to appropriate treatment programs. Virtual appointments are also available.
