A one-stop job center that provides an array of employment and training services in a convenient, easily accessible location. Services include job counseling, testing and assessment; resume preparation assistance, interview training and other prejob guidance services; job matching and referral; unemployment insurance and job registration; labor market and career information; information on financial aid for education and training; and referral for job training, transportation, child care, personal and financial counseling, health care and other human services resources in the community.

The Bayfront Maritime Center collaborates with Erie High School to offer an exciting program designed to introduce students to Maritime Studies and Maritime Career opportunities. Mornings are spent at BMC studying Navigation, Boat Building and Maintenance, Arts of the Sailor, and Sailing. During the afternoons, students are at Erie High School completing their core subjects including Math, English, and Science. Erie High School Maritime Program will be in its third year in September 2020.

Designed to match essential job skills with employee knowledge and ability, the WIN and WorkKeys assessments work together to provide both job seekers and employers with valuable training and information. Clients work through practice tests prior to taking the standardized WorkKeys exam within a controlled environment. If scores demonstrate weakness in a particular subject area, remediation modules and instructor assistance are available.

Works with high school students and as vendors with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) to provide development services. Offers job shadowing, on-the job-training, community based work assessments, work based learning experience, and discovery customized employment.

Provides assistance with finding employment and on-the-job training. A job coach will work with the employee until the employer is satisfied with the individual's work performance. At that time, the job coach will gradually withdraw support from the worksite, a process known as "fading," enabling the employee to function at a fully independent level.
