Over 300 people are employed in our workshops. They perform production service work for businesses. Our workshops can provide you with a range of work experiences. We complete jobs which involve packaging, assembling, heat sealing, collating, and non-industrial assembly. Opportunities are also available for qualified individuals to operate a variety of industrial machinery. Basic safety instruction is an integral part of our work program. Most of our jobs are paid at piece rate. Some of the more specialized work is paid by the hour. Paychecks are issued every other Friday. While performing contract work, individuals learn task completion, safety in the workplace, problem solving, following directions, and dependability. Individuals earn a commensurate wage for their work and receive a paycheck every two weeks. There are also opportunities to participate in career classes geared toward readying individuals to move on to competitive employment in the community.

Provides a program designed to re-integrate veterans to college through three-phases. Phase I: Participants will complete a ten-week paid research experience, complete a team project, learn 21st century skills in workshops, and prepare to begin classes at a local college. Phase II: Participants will continue to refine their academic interests and apply for a formal program at the University of Pittsburgh or an institution of their choice. Phase III: Participants will enroll in a university and prepare to graduate from the ELeVATE program.

Recruits, trains, and places participants in resource-limited organizations in their communities called host sites. Participants provide health education and access services to community members while receiving learning opportunities and workforce development in public health roles of community health worker, digital health navigator, and/or medical interpreter. Participants receive $15/hour stipend and $6,495 education award.

Prepares teens to be effective babysitters through three different certificates (babysitter, pediatric first, first AID) which are on the School District of Philadelphia's approved list for ACT 158 Credits and can be used for graduation credits. The classes are taught by a Red Cross Certified Facilitator. Trainees are paid $100 for participation.

Offers targeted training programs that prepare participants for employment in high-demand career sectors. Classes may be offered on-site at area businesses or at the main office. Topics covered include workplace reading and writing, workplace readiness, customer service, digital literacy and computer skills, and specialized skills training. Additional trainings include Community Health Worker (CHW), and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Prepares students for employment in the human services field. Provides training and classroom instruction in how to apply the Strengths-based approach when providing services to clients and families. Also provides professional development workshops, mentoring, digital literacy training, 10-week professional development pre-apprenticeship, and other apprenticeship opportunities.
