Housing Authority of Northumberland County - Family Self Sufficiency

Provides a federally funded program which offers housing assistance as part of a coordinated program of housing, child care, and transportation assistance; personal and career counseling; educational assistance; and job training and placement for families with low to moderate incomes. Some of these services are outsourced to service providers in the community and all are not solely provided by the Housing Authority. The goal of the Family Self-Sufficiency Program is to help motivated individuals become economically self-sufficient. In order to qualify for the Family Self-Sufficiency Program, you must currently be a part of the Housing Authority of Northumberland County's public housing program or Rental Assistance Program.

Offers a 90-day support service for families with children from birth to age 18 who may be experiencing stress due to parent/child conflicts, lack of stability, a need for budgeting support, lack of family communication, or a need for overall resource assistance including food assistance.
