Serves as the point of entry to services that protect children from abuse and neglect, preserve families whenever possible, and ensure that every child has a safe, stable, and permanent home in which to grow. Services include child protection services, foster services, and more.

Provides in-depth services to those seeking to adopt international children, domestic infants, older American children, or children with special needs. Also works with children in the foster care system and foster parents, as well as families who have already adopted.

During this time period, appropriate plans for future living arrangements will be made by all involved parties, including the child, the county caseworker, the children's biological/legal family, the FCCY case manager, and the foster family. In many situations, it is suggested that the child be moved from emergency placement to our Family-Based Services program.

Varying levels of foster care are offered including intensive foster care for youth whose needs cannot be met in their own families; intermediate foster care for youth who generally do not require more intensive interventions; and medical foster care for youth with acute physical, emotional or mental disabilities as an alternative to hospitalization or institutionalization.

This program provides temporary emergency foster home placement and ongoing supportive foster home placement for children and youth from various counties in Pennsylvania. As a Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) affiliate, the program also provides permanency services that are currently offered include family profiles, child profiles, child preparation, and finalization.
