Provides an integrated employment opportunity for outsourcing services for private industries. They are able to meet either short or long-term manpower needs by providing laborers at the job site, or within the MaxWorx facility.

Provide vocational assessment, job development, job training, job placement, specialized job situations and/or other support services that help people with intellectual disabilities prepare for, find and retain paid employment.

You will meet privately with professional staff to develop a plan that establishes your vocational goals and objectives for the year. You will work in a safe, comfortable, well supervised and supportive workplace modeled after the factory environments of area manufacturers. You will also work with professional staff to develop your social skills so that you can work cooperatively with others while on the job and in future work settings. You will be paid for this work in keeping with the United States Department of Labor standards. This service is licensed by Pennsylvaniaâs Department of Public Welfare/Office of Developmental Programs.

Provides community based employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Eligible participants are assessed to determine their abilities and interest areas. An Employment Training Specialist (ETS) is assigned to each individual. The ETS works one-on-one with the consumer to prepare him or her for the world of competitive employment. Basic job search skills including application/resume writing, and interviewing skills are addressed via Job Readiness Classes.

The Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, or OVR, provides vocational rehabilitation services to help persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain, or maintain employment. OVR provides services to eligible individuals with disabilities, both directly and through a network of approved vendors. Services are provided on an individualized basis. The OVR counselor, during face-to-face interviews, assists customers in selecting their choice of vocational goals, services and service providers. An Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) is developed, outlining a vocational objective, services, providers and responsibilities. Certain services are subject to a Financial Needs Test (FNT) and may require financial participation by the customer. Counseling and guidance, diagnostic services, assessments, information and referral, job development and placement, and personal services such as readers or sign language interpreters are provided at no cost to the individual.
