The Pennsylvania National Guard's Resilience, Risk Reduction, & Suicide Prevention (R3SP) Program develops policy, conducts training and provides education on building resilience, mitigating stress and suicide prevention for the Service and Family members of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. The program consists of three sections:
  • Suicide Prevention: The Suicide Prevention Program gives Soldiers the necessary skills to identify signs, symptoms, risk factors of suicide and the ability to successfully intervene. National Alliance on Mental Illness of Cumberland and Perry Counties (NAMI C/P PA) - Wellness Recovery Course using WRAP

Offers a wellness course that runs 8-12 weeks, meeting weekly for two hours. Participants identify internal and external resources for facilitating recovery, and then use these tools to create their own, individualized plan for successful living; develop a crisis plan, which states how the person would like to be treated in times of crisis (similar to an advance directive for inpatient psychiatric care), as well as a post-crisis plan for back on the road to recovery.
