WellSpan Health offers the Freedom From Smoking program developed by the American Lung Association. The eight session program is designed to:

  • Fight the addiction
  • Develop a smoke-free lifestyle The program is offered free of charge. Wellspan Health offers free one-on-one tobacco treatment planning sessions to Adams and York county residents. At these counseling sessions, a certified tobacco cessation counselor will:
  • Assess your dependence on nicotine
  • Discuss any past attempts to quit
  • Review strategies and coping skills to get you through urges to smoke or chew
  • Develop a tailored "quit plan" specific to your lifestyle. Wellspan Health also offers a self guided program for those who want to quit on their own. WellSpan also provides referrals to the PA quitline at 1800-quitnow

    WellSpan Philhaven Behavioral Healthcare Services - WellSpan Philhaven Drug and Alcohol Substance Use Disorder

    Offers adult substance abuse counseling on an outpatient and intensive outpatient basis. Provide a comprehensive assessment, referral,drug and alcohol education, and individual and/or group counseling. Also provide aids to prevent addiction in the first place. Offer Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) for Opioid Addiction. Pysicians use Suboxone and Vivitol at treatment modalities.
