Devereux Pennsylvania Adult Services (formerly known as the "Whitlock Center") serves nearly 400 adults living in homes and apartments throughout southeast Pennsylvania, as well as in our Berwyn community. Our dedicated team of 600 staff, ranging from highly-specialized clinicians and nurses, to recreational and direct staff professionals, all work with one common goal: the happiness, self-fulfillment and social integration of each adult in our community.

The Melmark School offers day and residential special education services to children and adolescents. Offers a residential option designed to accommodate students at every phase of development.

EASE provides maritime opportunities for individuals with mental and physical challenges. Specially designed sailboats, called Hansa Dinghies, provide a safe, effective platform for sailors to enjoy barrier-free sailing. A team of highly-skilled volunteers, mainly teachers, volunteer their time to create a nurturing, empowering experience.

Assists employers in retaining, recruiting, and hiring qualified workers. Job seekers are assisted in finding competitive employment. Services include resume and interview preparation, job-seeking skill development, community-based assessments, work site analysis for accommodations, job coaching supports, and follow-up services.

Provides an environment in which to teach and strengthen positive social skills development. Facilities include a sensory room, gross motor room and model apartment. Students with autism thrive when education is creatively tailored to individual learning styles and the environment is responsive to sensory differences.

Provides special education services

Early Intervention provides services for infants and toddlers who show evidence of or are at risk for lags in physical, cognitive, language, speech and psycho-social development. Individual or group educational and therapeutic services are offered at either the Center or in the community depending on the identified needs of the child and family.

Also works closely with teachers of the deaf and hearing impaired to provide programs to meet the sensory needs of infants and toddlers who have both a vision and hearing loss. Provides services in preschool or home based settings for children who do not attend Overbrook.

Provides children with autism, emotional disorders, and learning disabilities services to break through social and emotional barriers to achieve academic success. Blends mental health and special education services throughout the school day to maximize students' potential.
